Crusin' Around the Caribbean

Boarding the 'Jewel of the Seas' - it as huge to say the least

Inside the ship - it had 13 floors and 7 lifts...in a ship...just let that sink in for a minute

One of the five islands we visited, St Kitts

St Dickinson's Beach - Antigua ft. mother's feet
St Marteen's where the beach was situated next to a airport runway

Stall shop on St Dickinson's Beach in Antigua

Catamaran trip around Barbados, snorkeling for turtles
Well hello there!
As part of this travelling adventure I took over the summer, we spent a week on a huge Royal Caribbean Cruise sailing around the Caribbean via Puerto Rico. It was an amazing experience where we visited St Marteen, St Kitts's, St Lucia, Antigua and Barbados and each were as beautiful as the next with their own character and fantastic people.
The cruise was luxurious with formal dinners and personal waiters and way too much food but the it was unbelievable to wake up each morning on a different island and experience another way of life.
Couldn't recommend this style of holiday/vacation/travelling to anyone enough.
Let me know what you got up to this summer in the comments.

REVIEW: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Well hey there!
So a few weeks back I discovered this little beauty on offer in Boots and couldn't resist with word on the street that is was a high street dupe of Bioderma. With the incentive to take better care of my skin I purchased this along with some cotton pads for no more than £5.00.
I really like this product as it removes all my make-up (even the tough waterproof stuff) with a couple of swipes of a cotton pad and leaves my skin feeling soooo clean and refreshed. The water has such a clean smell and the product simply dissolves on your skin.
Overall:- Great product, does what it says on the label, and leaves my skin squeaky clean and completely dry and a great step up for those who use make up wipes and want a better/cleaner way of removing make-up.
Let me know if you have ever tried this product, or similar ones.

New York City

We took a sunset boat trip on the Hudson River and the views were unreal

Strawberry Pancakes at George's on Greenwich St. They were so goooood!

My parents surprised my sister and I with a helicopter trip around the city. It was the craziest experience and the views were unbelievable. Selfie ft. half dad's face.

Empire State of Mind

Views from the Empire State.

The best bakery in NYC - hands down! I got the Chocolate Cupcake, my sister got a Strawberry Mousse cake that was the size of her face and my parents shared a Pecan and Caramel Cheesecake. Absolute heaven!

How could I not go all the way to New York and not stop by a Sephora. This is Sephora on Times Square.

Times Square at night - Our hotel was only a block away so we spent most of our time here and witnessed some of the weirdest people, including a naked all-singing-all-dancing granny...

Shake Shack - oh my gawd!

The American Museum of Natural History

Shot at Newark Liberty International Airport - Next Stop Puerto Rico

Well hey there!
I'm back after a surreal couple of weeks that were truly unforgettable, and after going through the trillions of photos I took in New York I managed to narrow it down to these that explain my time there all too well.
The people, the buildings, the culture, the life, New York lives up to it all and I never wanted to leave. Definitely considering moving there, I've just fallen in love!

I'd love to here what adventures you've been up to this summer, big or small, so please leave me a comment below.

Recent Favourites

Well hey there!
It's been awhile to say the least, but the break from blogging has definitely given me a chance to discover some new favourites and I've managed to widdle down to these six.
Beauty related favourites are the Revlon Lip Butters. So yes, I know there's no need to tell how late I am to the bandwagon with these but they are literally so perfect for summer. Their colour range is amazing and they are so light and wearable, I basically worn them everyday.
Revlon Lip Butter - Boots - £7.99
OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum is perfect, it does exactly what it says only better, making my hair super smooth and sleek and leaves it smelling, well, exactly like a coconut.
OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum - Boots - £6.99
I've been searching long and hard for a big, beautiful silver necklace and alas I found one in Lord behold a Primark. This is so great for summer and is definitely a staple piece that can be used to seriously dress up and outfit.
Silver Neckalce - Primark - £6
The sunglasses, they do their job and they look great. Round sunglasses seem to be very in this summer and I've never really liked them considering I look like John Lennon when I wear them, however this pair have really grown on me.
Sunglasses - Missguided - £4.99
Now sandals, where this year's trend seems to be going in the direction of the Jesus sandal. Not being a huge fan of these, I met in the middle with a little heel and black buckle that seem to literally go with every piece of clothing I own. These are so great!
Sandals - Topshop - £40
Lastly is Sherlock the Series and holy crap is it good!! I've completely and utterly fallen in love with Benedict Cumberbatch and can't believe I hadn't seen this sooner. Each season has 3 episodes that last 90 minutes each and after watching the first 2 series in a matter of days I honestly couldn't contain myself to get my hands on Series 3. It's brilliant and the BBC have just confirmed Series 4 and a Sherlock Special.
Sherlock Series 3 - Amazon - Around £9

Nike Air Force 1

Hey there!

After eyeing up these beauties for months and then seeing the beautiful Sammi from BeautyCrush make a styling video for them I thought I'd part with the little amount of money I have (more like had) and buy them. They finally came this morning and they are even more beautiful in real life (yes I'm aware they are only shoes, but still).

They are so versatile and comfy. They go with jeans, shorts, leggings and are so perfect for spring-summer. I can't wait to start putting outfits together with these. I can only sing praises for the Nike Air Force 1 and just glad I finally have my hands on them.

These were bought from JD Sport for £50.00 in the Nike Air Force 1 Lo Junior in a size 5 for anyone who's interested.

Healthy Eating

Hey there!

So just a short post today of some of the healthy meals I've been loving. Eating differently has certainly had an impact on my life, even from drinking more water on a daily basis has had an effect, but combined with nutritious and healthy meals it has really improved my skin and I feel much less tired, and certain foods have even helped curb cravings for chocolate and junk food. Every year, around this time I always re-discover health eating and get obsessed. By eating lighter and not stuffing my body with heavy, processed foods and drinks I feel so much better and I know everything I eat is doing me good. Don't get me wrong though, I'm still human and I still have my moments of weakness, especially when it comes to sweets or desserts, but eating healthy all the rest of the time makes having a splurge on things like chocolate or ice cream once in a while so much better and worth while.
This is just a few meals I've captured over the last week and thought I'd share them with you all.

Ultimate favourite, grilled homemade Nando's chicken, cous-cous and a leafy salad. So tasty!

Never thought this would be so refreshing, but a few slices of lemon really make a difference!

Quick and healthy lunch, tuna and spinach sub - looks a little lonely though. Note to self: add fruit

Yummy snack, or a breakfast quickie, pineapple chunks, raisins, an apple and wholemeal toast with organic crunchy peanut butter. Delicious. (Excuse the chipped plate..)

Broccoli and grilled chicken, simple as that.

Most important meal of the day: breakfast. A combo of porridge, raisins and banana.

This is obviously just my personal preference when it comes to eating and I am no way an expert as to whether portions or even if most of this is nutritional, but I can honestly say I've definitely felt a difference and now obsessed with finding new ways of making things healthier. If you have any health recipes or blogs, please leave a comment or I'd even love to hear if you recently re-discovered health eating and what you've been trying out.

Mini Manchester Haul

Well hey there!

So this post has been a long time coming and I've missed being able to post regularly due to copious amounts of work that are never ending, but here it is my mini Manchester haul, or in other words stuff I bought that I didn't really need.

Firstly I went into H&M and needed a few basic things for spring, so I got a black and white stripe mid-sleeve top and a baggy super soft grey jumper to go with jeans or shorts and shirts. I also spotted this fine gold chain with a cross on my way to the checkout and just couldn't leave it there. I try to restrict myself when it comes to clothing otherwise I end up with tons of stuff I never wear and no money, not a good plan.

Of course I had to pop into Lush and pick up my favourite bath ballistic 'Sex Bomb' which smells aaamazing and makes the bath water pink with that little flower bobbing around on the surface. I also fancied a face mask since I felt my skin needed a treat and so opted for a more 'mature' smelling one called  'Brazened Honey'. I was a bit disappointed because it didn't really have much of an effect on my skin, so maybe I'll try a different one next time. I also grabbed a shower gel called 'Happy Hippy' which has a really fresh grapefruit scent and the mini bottles are perfect since I love trying loads of different shower gels instead of being stuck to one for ages.

I saved the best till last and popped into Boots where I bought a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 001 Honey/Douce which is so perfect for an everyday look and smells of mint which is just a bonus. I then bought some more face necessities, the Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser and the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Soothing Gel-Cream Wash. Both are just great for cleaning your skin once you've taken your make-up off. The final product I bought was the John Freida Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone-Correction Conditioner, which later I went back and changed for shampoo. This basically keeps my blonde hair blonde and stops any orange or brassiness coming through. Thank God for John Freida!

I know it's been a long time but again I'm going to try my best to set time aside to blog each week because I love doing it, it's just sometimes everything gets a bit hectic. Hope you're doing well and let me know if you have or tried any of these products in the comments.

Thanks for reading :-)

Weekend in Manchester

Well hey there!

So this weekend my family and I ventured out to Manchester to watch the Manchester City Vs Chelsea game to celebrate my dad's birthday. We left on the Friday and stayed at the Travelodge smack in the center of the city itself which was so lovely. The room was very clean and modern and me and Naomi (my sister) had a pretty decent view.

The game was on Saturday so we spend the rest of Friday night at T.G.I Friday's, which lets face it is the best place ever! I got a Jack Daniel's Burger (of course) and unfortunately the excitement of the food and my hunger must have gotten the better of me because I forgot to take photos :-( But take my word for it, it was amazing!

The next day we spent it shopping - yay! I got myself some lovely bits and bobs that I've wanted for ages, especially from Lush, so another post might be needed. Then we made our way to the match, and I was all kitted out in my hoodie and scarf. I've never been to a football game before and I was definitely surprise at how much I enjoyed it. City won 2-0 and the Chelsea fans did not seem to take losing very well.

To celebrate the win and of course my dad's birthday we went to an Indian/Punjabi restaurant called EastZEast and had the most delicious food. We arrived about 10pm and it was very busy there, we were told we had a 30-40 minute wait, but we were seated in 10 so we were very happy. The food was amazing and the service was great and I'd definitely recommend it.

So after a long lie-in and a little last minute shopping we made our way back home. Had such a lovely weekend and I can't wait to go back and hopefully watch another game.

Thanks for reading! I'd love to know what you got up to this weekend so please leave a comment :-)
